The agency represents the interests of Medjimurje county, overall territory of 730 km² and the population of 118 426 (22 municipalities and 3 towns). The most significant projects related to RES prepared and implemented by REDEA are:

• establishing  Međimurje Energy Agency (MENEA) in 2008 within the IEE programme. MENEA is in charge of preparing energy planning and monitoring tools as well as providing quality services to public and private sector.
• Green energy  -  The Key to Interregional Sustainable Development project, financed under PHARE 2006,   with main goal of  developing cross-border partnership in the field of renewable energy sources with purpose of common planning and making analyses and studies as the background for increased use of RES.
• NIMSEC (Novel Integrated Model of Sustainable Energy Communities) project financed within  IEE programme, which strives to resolve a series of locally identified problems related to energy efficiency and renewable sources of energy. It covers various strategically important sectors in an encompassing approach: local administrations, transport, industry, agriculture.
